Hoi,
I'm looking to make a website with an overview of all aircrafts online ( and later only the ones of my company).
I can see other planes online but not mine. I use the MsFs bridge tool. The position reports I send manually are correct.
As I understand correctly I have to send a ADS-C message from WFTRACK to my flight. I receive that message on the MCDU.
I did the Preflight in the MCDU and checked ADS is set to ON. Still I don't send automatic position reports.
Is there something I do wrong here?
Thanks for the help,
Erik Wachters
Enabling ADS-C
Hi,
If your MCDU acknowledges the reception of the ADS-C "request contract" message, you probably sent the message using the wrong protocol -- the MCDU should not in any way indicate anything, except by switching from (arm) to (act) on the ATC page. This is like the real thing does it.
Please follow this procedure to enable ADS-C reception and report transmission:
1. Make sure your plane IS online, using: http://www.hoppie.nl/acars/system/log.html If your call sign does not appear on the top of this page, your plane is NOT online. Check the correct setup of your FMC COMM page, you must at least have your callsign (flight number) entered and have a correct logon code (not via the MCDU, but via the File/Setup menu) of the ACARS Airborne Client main window). If you see the green indicator at the bottom-right of this window, you should also see that you are online.
2. Click on your plane's callsign on the web page above, which takes you to the general "send a message to this plane" page. To request ADS-C transmissions, click on to the ADS-C editor, and there fill in FROM and your logon code. All the rest is correct by default. Hit "Submit Message" and then go back to the log page to see the message being queued to your plane, and eventually be picked up (maximum one minute).
3. Aboard the plane, check whether the ADS status flipped from (arm) to (act).
4. The web log page should after a minute show a ADS-C report from your plane. If so, it also will appear on all ADS-C maps, such as http://www.hoppie.nl/acars/system/embed.html (with the right call sign).
Does this help?

ADS-C
Hello Jeroen,
I've also been having some similar troubles with the ADS-C system. As you have probably seen in the logs, I keep on getting the REJECT message from ADS-C.
I have followed your instructions above, one problem I am coming across is that in the MCDU when I cannot switch from (arm) to (act) because there is no option to do so. I can only switch from (arm) to (off). I know I am doing something wrong here, but I don't know what it is exactly that I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance for any help :)
Wesley.
Problem Solved! I'm using
Problem Solved! I'm using Windows 7 so I needed to run all the programs in administrator mode. Now ADS-C is working perfectly.
