I don´t understand why PS1 is sold out...We are not talking about cars...about real planes...
Men...It is a software. The cost of producing more and more is close to zero...You have still a good demand. (including me...)
According to the author of the software (not me!), he has considered to release the package in the form of a downloadable CD including the manual. However, the fact that PS1.3 was written ten years ago for DOS and does not run satisfactorily on Windows means that keeping the sales going increases the demand for support. And Aerowinx cannot support the program on Windows, neither will they rewrite it for Windows due to resource constraints.
However a totally new Precision Simulator not based at all on the code of the 1.3 release is now being developed. It is scheduled for 2010, so don't hold your breath, but it will offer the same basic features as PS 1.3 and aim for the same market segment: flight schools and professional pilots who want to brush up on their glass cockpit training.
